BONDA DAL SOUP WITH LENTIL FRITTERS
INGREDIENTS Urad dal Green chiles Ginger Curry leaves Coriander leaves Black pepper Salt Oil Moong dal Tomato Turmeric powder Mustard seeds Asafoetida Coriander chutney Lime or lemon
Soak urad dal 4 hours or overnight then drain excess liquid. Mash into a paste, then mix together with ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, salt, and black pepper.
Spoon urad dal paste mixture into hot oil and fry fritters until golden brown then drain on paper towels.
Combine moong dal with ginger, chiles, tomato turmerir, salt, and water and pressure cook until tender.
Heat mustard seeds and asafotida in hot oil to create a tempering oil then stir into moong dal soup.
