Mango Lassi Traditional Indian Yogurt Drink

Make a deliciously creamy mango lassi as the perfect healthy and tasty drink! A traditional Indian yogurt drink, this is perfect for breakfast, a snack, or alongside a meal!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Alphonso mango 330 grams
  • 2 cups plain yogurt 490 grams
  • 4 tbsp sugar 50 grams
  • Pinch cardamom powder

Garnishes

  • Almond slices
  • Dried rose petals

Instructions

  • Peel and cut mango into small pieces.
  • In a blender, combine the mango, yogurt, sugar, and cardamom powder.
  • Pulse until the mixture is creamy and the mango is completely blended. If too thick, add milk in ⅛ cup additions until it is the desired consistency.
  • Pour into glasses and refrigerate until ready to serve. Best chilled for at least 30-minutes so cold throughout.
  • Garnish with chopped almonds and dried rose petals before serving.

Notes

If the mixture is too thick, add ⅛ cup milk and blend.  Continue adding ⅛th cup at a time until desired consistency is reached.
