Ingredients

  • ½ cup Besan (Bengal gram flour)
  • ¼ cup Ghee
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1.5 cup Milk
  • A Pinch Kesar
  • For garnish Slivered almonds

Instructions

  • Heat the ghee on a pan.
  • Add besan and roast it in the ghee until it darks a bit darker in color.
  • Next, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • The texture of the halwa will start to smoothen as you keep mixing.
  • Keep mixing until the milk dries up and the halwa becomes smooth. Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Serve hot after garnishing with slivered almonds.
